High Lander signs partnership with local distributor BODA to introduce drone fleet management and UTM platforms to South Korean market

June 2024, Tel Aviv - High Lander, a provider of drone fleet management and uncrewed traffic management solutions, has signed a distribution partnership with BODA, a prominent South Korean drone services and consultation firm, through which it will introduce Orion DFM and Vega UTM to the South Korean drone ecosystem.

Headquartered in Gwangju, BODA is a key player in the South Korean drone ecosystem thanks to its impressive range of services. These include expert consultation, field operations and pilot training, as well as pilot registration under the auspices of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority (TS) via its “Nalida” platform. Nalida, which means “to fly” in Korean, also acts as a drone matching service connecting between drone pilots and organizations that need them in sectors including public safety, agriculture, real estate, and the energy industry.

As part of the partnership, High Lander has certified BODA as a distributor of two of its services in the South Korean market. The first is Vega UTM, an autonomous uncrewed traffic management software solution for management of UAS traffic at any scale, designed to supplement air traffic control technology and empower ANSPs to manage UAS and manned air traffic in harmony. The second is Orion DFM, an end-to-end drone fleet management and mission creation software platform that’s hardware-agnostic and capable of autonomous control of drone fleets of any size.

The South Korean drone market is experiencing rapid growth, with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) projecting almost 400 percent growth over the next eight years. The new partnership stands to stimulate further growth in this dynamic market by providing South Korean drone pilots with access to two of the world’s leading drone software platforms.

“BODA and High Lander are two companies dedicated to creating opportunities by enabling the use of drone technology at scale, and as such we are thrilled to enter into this partnership,” said Yeongwoo Kim, CEO of BODA. “Orion and Vega are world-leading platforms that facilitate large-scale drone operations while maintaining airspace safety – these are fundamental services in the drone ecosystem, and we’re proud to offer them to local operators.”

“We are very excited by this partnership, which will greatly expand our footprint in one of the most exciting markets in the world,” said Alon Abelson, CEO of High Lander. “We could not have found a better distributor and local strategic partner than BODA, a company that shares our philosophy and excels at driving ecosystem growth through high-quality services and technology. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership in the years to come.”
