Entering South Korea

We signed an exciting new partnership: BODA, a leading South Korean drone services and consultation firm, will act as official distributor of our Orion DFM and Vega UTM throughout South Korea. This is one of the world's most dynamic drone ecosystems and the introduction of our systems will help accelerate its development.

Visit from Speedbird Aero

Speedbird Aero, our partners from Brazil, flew over to visit us at our office. The team came to share technical updates and work on an exciting new joint project that will be announced soon. They also oversaw the use of their DLV-2 drone in the 19th iteration of the Israel National Drone Initiative.

INDI 19: A new command center

This month’s Israel National Drone Initiative launched a new command center in Ashkelon. Led by Cando Drones, the facility uses Orion DFM to manage drone activity throughout the surrounding region. During the event, a variety of suspicious events were simulated to demonstrate that the system can respond to them efficiently with a range of different drones.

Visit from the BIRD Foundation

We were honored to welcome representatives from the BIRD Foundation to our office. BIRD invests in joint projects between Israeli and American companies, and during the visit we discussed our autonomous first response project in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, including commercialization of the system in the future.

France vs Spain

We held a viewing party for the European Championship semi-final between France and Spain, played at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Employees brought their loved ones for a fantastic evening of food, drinks and football!

Drone trivia time: answer

1898. In this year, Nikola Tesla demonstrated his Teleautomaton, a small boat powered by a simple radio control. 1917 and 1935 were both significant years too though. In 1917, the Ruston Proctor Aerial Target, the first radio-controlled aircraft, took flight, although it was intended to be a bomb. And in 1935 production began on the de Havilland Queen Bee, the first true aerial drone.
